ACTIVITIES/INFORMATION (SCHOOL RELATED)

Book Review will meet Thursday, April 12th, in the Library during both lunches.  Bring your lunch and come talk books.

“VOCAL JAZZ NIGHT” is here!  Come to LCC Rose Center for the arts on Saturday, April 14, at 7:00 p.m. to hear some of the best jazz around!  After Hours Vocal Jazz, Olympic High School Vocal Jazz, Battleground High School Vocal Jazz, Clackamas Community College’s “Mainstream” vocal jazz ensemble, and all the way from Austria, Special Guest Artist the Taylor Zickefoose Quartet.  This night you will not want to miss.  $10 at that door.  $5 for students.

Seniors interested in giving the commencement speech at graduation please see Mrs. Benson before April 30th.

If you are looking for Service to School Opportunities, the Athletic Office is in need of Track workers for the dates of Tuesday, April 10 and Tuesday, April 24.  If you are interested in helping with these two home track meets please stop by and see Ms. Nixon to sign up in the Athletics Office.

Attention Spring Sport athletes:  Beginning on April 12th all athletes will need to be passing five classes to play in contests.  In addition, any athlete who has been on Longview School District academic probation this year will need to have a 2.0 to compete 4th quarter.

ATTENTION FOOTBALL:  If you are a Football player and plan to go to Football camp this summer or play next year sign-ups are now OPEN in FamilyID.  You must be signed up and cleared before camp July 7-10, 2018.  You do not need to pay your fees at this time; you will pay them in the Fall.

ASL Club meets Thursdays after school to 3:45 in room C6.

Let’s start out this semester strong!  If you need additional support in one or more of your classes, ask your teachers for help or sign up in the Guidance Office for peer tutoring.  You can work with your tutor to find a time during school or on your own time.

COMMUNITY SERVICE AND SERVICE TO SCHOOL OPPORTUNITIES

Longview Downtowners Association will be holding a downtown clean-up day on Saturday, April 14 from 8:00 a.m. to noon.  More information is available in the Career Center.

Robert Gray Elementary needs volunteers to work with 3rd graders on strengthening their math skills.  Please see Mrs. Peters in the Career Center to sign up.

SENIORS:  There are several new scholarship applications available on your school google drive.  Spring Break is a great time to get some applications submitted!
