ACTIVITIES/INFORMATION (SCHOOL RELATED)

Any seniors wanting to participate in the Buff Puff Volleyball, there will be a quick meeting in the cafeteria tomorrow at 2:30.

Vending Machine Reminder:  Please DO NOT put pennies or 50 cent pieces in the vending machines.  This is causing the machines to jam.

Attention Senior Girls, if you’re interested in cheering for Buff Puff, sign up in the activities office by Friday the 15th.  If you have any questions contact Leah Newell.

Spread the love of reading to kindergarten.  The Book Drive starts on Monday, February 11 and ends on Friday, February 15.  Please donate learn to read and easy to read books.  You can drop the books off in the purple drop off bins in the attendance office and in the library.

Hey Monarch Seniors!  Buff Puff is coming up in March!  Sign-up sheet and waivers are available at the Activities Window.  Signed forms MUST be turned in to Ms. Bennett before you can participate.

Attention all students interested in the ASL/Drama Club short film collaboration.  We are meeting in the RAL auditorium on TODAY, Friday, February 8 at 2:30 pm to continue our collaboration.

Are you interested in auditioning for As You Like It?  As you like it is the spring play at Mainstage Theatre.  If you are intimidated by Shakespeare, don’t worry!  We will be available after school Monday, Feb. 11 in the R.A. Long Theatre to help you select a monologue.  If you are interested, you should come check it out!

The Rotary Club of Kelso will hold their annual Spell-ebration on March 8, 2019.  High school teams are invited to participate – one from each school.  Form a team of three with two of your best-spelling friends and register at www.spell-ebration.com.  The first team to register will represent Mark Morris.  Each member of the winning high school team will receive a $500 scholarship.  The winning high school team will compete in the final adult round.  Registration deadline is February 15, 2019, but remember, only the first team to register will be chosen to participate.  Please let Mrs. Peters in the Career Center know when you have registered.

The ASVAB Career Exploration Program Test will be conducted on Saturday, February 23rd at 9:00am in the MMHS LGIC.  Students must arrive by 8:45am and bring photo ID.  The ASVAB Career Exploration Program can help you take steps now toward finding a career that’s right for you.  You can benefit from the program whether you plan to pursue further education after high school or enter the workforce right away.  The ASVAB is also required for enlistment in the military.  This even will provide students with one Post-Secondary Research Point.  Sign up in the Career Center.

Deadline to sign up for the AP Exams in May is March 6 by 3:00 p.m.  Late registrations will not be accepted.  Sign up at the Activities window.
