Delivery of graduation announcements from Royal T during both lunches

Deadline to sign up for commencement speaker and entertainment for graduation.  Please sign up with Mrs. Benson in the Guidance Office.

Auditions for Commencement Speaker after school in the LGIC.

Entertainment Screening – 2:30 pm (if necessary all individuals and groups who wish to perform at commencement will audition. The top three votes will perform in the finals during the awards assembly.)  Sign up with Mrs. Benson prior to April 27th.  Everyone is welcome to attend.

Important senior meeting in the cafeteria blue chairs 9:45 am – this is mandatory for students to participate in commencement.

Community Service and Service to School points due.

Fine Arts Festival 8:00 am – 2:30 pm

Band Pot Luck 6:00 – 7:30 pm in the Mark Morris Cafeteria

Senior Oral Presentation times will be posted for students who have turned in all Aspire to Achieve assignments, community service hours, and service to school points.

Jackie Seidl Memorial Softball Game – 3:00 pm. Seniors vs. M.M. Staff. See­­­­ Anthoney Morrow or Sarah Russell ­­­­­­­to sign up to play.

Senior Barbecue – immediately following softball game (approximately 4:00 pm). See Anthoney Morrow or Sarah Russell for details.

Mark Morris Choral Concert at the Rose Center 7:30 pm

Scholarship & Awards Program – 6:30 p.m. at the Cowlitz Expo Center, 1900 – 7th Avenue, Longview.

Movie – Kelso Theater Pub 6:30 pm

Senior breakfast 7:00 am in the cafeteria.

Senior Awards Assembly in the MM Gymnasium at 8:45 am.

Staff Appreciation Day – Do something nice for a staff member who has made a difference in your high school career. (Write a note of appreciation, bake some cookies. . .)

SAT – 7:45 am Mark Morris

Senior Prom – Monticello Hotel from 9 to midnight. Coronation at 10:30 pm.

All Odyssey work is due.

Mark Morris Senior Oral Presentations from 4:00 – 7:00 pm.

Senior check out – all day – only for seniors who will be graduating.

Distribution of caps and gowns – Guidance Office – 2:30 pm CAPS AND GOWNS WILL NOT BE ISSUED TO STUDENTS WITH OUTSTANDING FINES or WHO HAVE NOT COMPLETED ALL GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS. Caps and gowns will not be issued early under any circumstances.

Commencement Practice – 8:00 am at Longview Memorial Stadium. If you plan to participate in the ceremony you must be at practice.

Baccalaureate Ceremony – R.A. Long Auditorium 7:00 pm

Commencement Ceremony – Longview Memorial Stadium 7:00 pm

If you would like seating for handicap guests please call (360) 575-7670 by Wednesday, June 13th.


  • Girls – Skirt/dress or dress slacks and dress shoes
  • Boys – Long dark slacks and dress shoes

Be there by 6:30 pm and dress in locker rooms at stadium. Proceed to north grandstand after you are dressed. This ceremony is to honor all graduates – everyone should look the same, therefore, you may NOT attach anything to your cap or gown nor may you wear or carry flowers of any kind.  If you would like a professional photograph of you receiving your diploma with Mr. Suek, you need to be at the stadium by 5:30 pm. The photos will be taken between 5:30-6:15 pm.

7:00 pm THIS IS IT!!!! Procession begins on time – Good luck and smile a little.

Graduation party is from 10pm-5am. The location will be given after you receive your diploma cover on stage.  Breakfast will be starting at 3:30-5am.  This is free for all Senior Graduates.  Donations are welcome in forms of monetary and/or prizes.

We need volunteers to help out for various fundraisers and the night of the graduation party. (Shifts are welcome).  For more information or if you would like to help out please contact the parent committee by email or please send text or call Ariane at 360-957-5352. Thank you!

Your diploma will be mailed home with your report card.  Keep your diploma cover you received during commencement to put your diploma in to protect it.
